This a scarce antique aqua Qt.. It is embossed Lustre fruit jar, the oldest Lustre style, used from c1880 - c 1920, with a wire held in place by a twist mounting two metal squares with holes to secure the wire bale. Embossed "Lustre R E Tongue & Bros. CO. Inc. PHILA", in circle. The bottom of this jar embossed with the "1" and has the Owens basal scar. This is a Qt. sized beauty is in very good condition, bubbles and seams in glass, light corrosion on bale wire.
Functional and decorative. Nostalgic Philadelphia memorabilia.
