Vintage Hand crafted, Hand Blown Glass French Boudoir Small Urn Lamp Mid Century

Sweet and Petite. Adorable 1960-70 era small table lamp, perfect for your bedroom or bathroom or bookcase as an accent piece. Beautiful opaline-like hand blown glass. I researched opaline and found a lot of people mis name contemporary and vintage glass as opaline. I’ve also seen it called milk glass. My thought is that it is neither.

The striated pattern is quite lovely. Labeled ‘Handcrafted France’ and brass ‘Base made in France’. Very nice intact labels. Gold leaf trim and rose transfer appear in very good condition. Looks to be original cord, in good shape. The washer at the top of the lamp itself, below the brass electrical part, is dark brown and is probably wood. The craftsman would have chosen wood over brass or other metal to prevent the metal from possibly damaging the glass. A rubber washer wouldn’t have been appropriate because of its proximity to the electric part. Smudge on Brass base may polish out.
