Vintage Royal Worcester Porcelain Egg Coddler Cup. Fireproof Cooking Porcelain was used to make this egg coddler. Royal Worcester is true hard porcelain that resists thermal shock. This Pershore pattern was made in England. It features blue, yellow, and orange flowers on the white porcelain. It weighs 9.6 oz. and is 3" tall. Top opening is 2" diameter. Designed to cook up to a single egg size large or smaller. During cooking, do not totally submerge the Egg Coddler in boiling water. The Egg Coddler should be in a pan of boiling water, taking care the water level only reaches halfway up the porcelain body of the coddler to ensure gentle cooking of the egg. Do not use Egg Coddlers in a microwave oven or exposed to a naked flame. Egg Coddlers can be used for baby food.
