These salad or dessert plates were made in Japan by Nippon in the 1910s. It is made of fine white Japanese porcelain. In the center of the plate is a spray of light pink roses. The rim is decorated with single pink roses and blue flowers encircled by gold leaf.
Between each pink rose is a gold rose in raised gold. Around the rim are also painted scrolls, while the edge is trimmed in gold with a raised dot design. The backstamp or mark is the blue Maruki symbol, which was used between 1912 and 1920. (In 1921, the word Japan was required on all U.S. imports.)

CONDITION: The plates are in excellent condition for its 100 years of age. There are no chips, cracks, or nicks. The colors of the roses are still vibrant, and the gold shows very little wear.
