Nested mixing bowls that are extremely large and durable. Made by the Crock Shop of Santa Ana, California, the bowls have a creamy white base and the rims are decorated with a stenciled and sponged pattern of red apples and green ivy with brown stems. The stencil and sponge technique give these bowls a folk art vibe.
These country style bowls measure 12", and 10.25” and are functional for storage, baking, or display. These large and sturdy bowls weighs in at more than 6 pounds before packing!
CROCK SHOP, INC. was located at 2101 Yale, Santa Ana, CA 92704; the company president was Robert L. Carter. The company is no longer operational and it is rare today to find their items. The Crock Shop was part of the great California art pottery scene and was ahead of its time in capturing the cottagecore aesthetic which embraces all things warm and cozy at home-including baking from scratch.
