70 Year Old - 8 Piece ENGLAND LACE w/Tags Nightstand Table Runner Set Coasters

Purchased in 1953 in New Quay England from Hawke & Thomas

The hard to source matching runners were made to lay across a pair of nightstands with squares for lamps and accessories on other furniture and coasters for a water glass. Of course you can use them anywhere.

These came via a home organizer who helps elderly people downsize. They were included in a cache of unused textiles and lace which were impeccably stored for 70 years with handwritten notes about where each item was purchased during a 1953 European ship voyage.

They were tricky to photograph because I didn't want to cut the original threading used to keep the squares attached to the runners. I did not want to detatched the tags from when they were originally sold as a set.

The curling on coasters will easily steam iron.
