This is a wonderful set of 5 vintage Japanese Mount Fuji Fukagawa plates.
Each plate is painted with an image of Mount Fuji.
Three plates bear the Mount Fuji mark on the bottom, symbol of Fukagawa porcelain, and two bear the kanji for Fukagawa.
The plates measure 8.5 inches in diameter.
There are no chips or cracks to the plates. There are minor kiln marks. The bottoms of the plate have marks from wear and storage. Please see all the pictures as they are part of the description.
Fukagawa ceramics are high-quality Japanese ceramics made by the Fukagawa family, who have been producing ceramics since 1650.
Fukagawa ceramic company is the official purveyor of porcelain to the Japanese Imperial Household.
