Rare Thompsonite (Variety of Zeolite) Cabochon, Lake Superior, Keewanaw Peninsula, Michigan.
This is my finest example of a gem that is found exclusively in Lake Superior, Michigan. They can be found at a few different spots along the lake. This particular specimen is from the Keewanaw Peninsula in Michigan. This is a particularly nice specimen; the eye is isolated, well formed and singular unlike most specimens I've seen. The rings are well defined. The selective deposition of color is very distinct and pleasing to the eye. Each Thompsonite stone is a one of a kind formation. There are no two alike.
Metaphysically speaking Thompsonite or Thomsonite resonates with the 1st or Root Chakra. It also stimulates the creative centers within the 2nd and 3rd chakras. It encourages one to pick up new hobbies and to be more confident and less introverted. It is a great stone for artists and creators.
