Hand-painted porcelain mounted soldier figurine of Napoleon's Marshal Jean Dorsenne astride a horse with gilded details and four gilded French Imperial eagles at the edges of the rectangular pedestal, made at Scheibe Alsbach manufacturer in Germany.
Jean Marie Pierre Francois Doursenne, known as Dorsenne 1773-1812, was a French military commander during the Napoleonic Wars and the French Revolutionary Wars.
Scheibe-Alsbach is a former municipality of Thuringia, Germany, now a part of Neuhaus am Rennweg. A porcelain factory built there in 1835, specializing in the Napoleonic period historical figurines.
