vintage goth midnight blue velvet high low mermaid formal dress

This stunning and beautifully hand made dress was probably sewn in the 1960's or 70's. No label to indicate maker or fabric content. Midnight blue almost black. There is damage to the hem in the front left side. This should be a pretty simple fix for anyone that sews. . Back zip with 5 button and loops at the top. The puff shoulders have some tulle inside. The sleeves are fitted with 5 button loops. The come to a point on the top of the hand. Sweetheart neckline. Fitted through the body to the thighs where the gathered full skirt starts. The hem damage is along the edge where the fabric is torn and frayed around 16". No other damage or signs of wear. If not for the hem damage I would have said it looks like it was never worn. My mannequin is a size 2 and it a little tight but might fit 0.. Please use measurements to insure a good fit. It measures 51" long in front, 56" in back. Laying flat seam to seam it's 15 1/2" across under the arms, 12" at the waist, 16 1/2" at the hips.
