Pale yellow/gold Japanese saltwater akoya pearl necklace with gold clasp

I found this lovely pale yellow-gold strand of pearls at a small thrift store on the outskirts of the city while visiting my sister. They are an incredible find, very beautiful. I would love to keep them, but the pearls do not suit my skin tone.

I am not a pearl specialist, but I am studying jewelry, so I can relay some helpful information. Japanese saltwater Akoya pearls take longer for pearl farmers to cultivate, and their roundness and luster are superior to that of freshwater pearls. These factors contribute to their higher demand & price point.

This strand has great luster. The nacre is spotty, with visible bubbles and ripples throughout. The strand has not been knotted. Part of the stamp on the clasp has rubbed away, but I am able to make out "1_K". My acid testing indicates the clasp is 12k-14k white gold.
