Welcome to my delightful Estate find, an Oneida Queen Bess II Community Tudor Plate silverplated flatware service for 12 in a Naken's antique silverware box. This was one of the first silverware patterns to be manufactured after WWII! American factories had been retooled to produce military goods and support the war effort and finally got to return to making luxury consumer goods in 1946 when this Silverware was produced!
67 pieces.
12 of each: dinner knives, dinner forks, salad forks, soup spoons, teaspoons, plus 5 spreaders and 2 demitasse spoons.
The gorgeous vintage box has dovetail construction, with deep plum purple felt. Some pieces have a patina, I personally prefer it but please check my pictures, I have done my best to show the integrity of each piece and they look pretty good for being 80 years old. The box is very heavy and has a hinged felt flap that clips into place to prevent your knives from spilling out.
