By moving the armillary rings, you can theoretically demonstrate the way the stars along with other celestial objects moved on the horizon. However, these armillary spheres reflected early misconceptions of astronomy. The spheres depicted the Earth in the center from the world, with interlocking rings illustrating the circles from the sun, moon, known planets, and important stars (along with the indications of the zodiac).
