Following up on 1984's successful blending of lithography with serigraphy, Ricks pays tribute to the unsung heroes of ballooning - the ground crew. The artist returns to the more typical vertical poster format but utilizes pastel modifications of traditional colors associated with the Southwest. He includes a background of spectators, faces turned skyward, in recognition that the Fiesta is as much about the people who come to watch as it is about those who come to fly."
