*Betsy McCall doll is a character that originated as a paper doll in the McCall magazine in 1951.
She was later transformed into a doll by the Ideal Toy Company in 1952, designed to teach fashion and sewing to young girls.
The doll featured a pug nose, brown eyes, and a bob haircut, and was marketed as part of a group of "Dolls with a Purpose" during the post-war baby boom.
Betsy McCall dolls were produced in various sizes and styles, becoming popular collectibles among fans and collectors.
