Crafted sometime between the 1800s and whenever people stopped caring about pheasants on crockery, it features rich, possibly accidental, brushstrokes and colors that whisper, “This bird is important.” There is a small chip on the rim, lovingly referred to as the “battle scar of elegance,” which only adds to its rustic charm and proves it has lived a full, plate-y life.
