I don't know much about this but according to the explanation from the Metropolitan Museum of Art's website, this is a cupbearer from the pre-Islamic Central Asian Turkic nomadic world. I am not sure if this came from the MMA gift shop or not because there are no markings other than the "sterling" mark. This has both a clasp to be worn as a brooch and a bail to be worn as a pendant. It measures about 3" tall and is just under 1" at it's widest point. The weight is 27g. It is in good vintage condition with a LOT of tarnish and some scratches and dings from normal wear. (Bin#MU3)
