With a 4 1/2 inch crown at its highest point and a 1 1/2 inch brim, the hat also has an inverted, black/gray grosgrain ribbon with a feather to give it a standout, distinctive look.
Mallory was originally an old hat company, eventually acquired by Stetson (before their own eventual acquisition by HatCo), they continued to produce hats throughout the 20th century.
