Antique French Porcelain Trinket Box – Hand-Painted Floral Design, c. 1930
A captivating hand-painted porcelain box featuring a delicate floral motif atop its lid, rendered in blush pinks and warm gold against a serene blue background. Made in France around 1930, this petite treasure measures approximately 2.25 inches wide and 1.5 inches high—just the right size for rings, love notes, or small keepsakes.
The porcelain is in beautiful condition, showing gentle signs of age that enhance its vintage charm. A touch of brown adhesive is visible along the inside perimeter of the porcelain near the brass fittings, as well as lightly around the outer brass hinge—likely original to its early construction. These traces do not affect the quality or appearance of the piece and instead speak to its authenticity.
The hinge functions perfectly for opening and closing; however, the lid naturally rests in an open position due to age-related wear.
