A geisha practicing the shamisen, a beauty in her private quarters, an entertainer crossing the river on a ferry--these charming scenes wonderfully capture life in Japan throughout the ages. Beautifully printed, many of the images feature deluxe techniques such as delicate embossing or burnishing, along with soft bokashi shading. A delightful series, great for collecting or as a wonderful display in any room.

The print is vintage and original. I am not an expert in the field, but I have seen that for this artist, it is often mentioned that the prints are "woodblock", but from the images of this type, it seems that the back is transparent, while this
