"The Yashica 44 camera was released in 1958. It was Japan's first 4x4 TLR camera.
The Yashica 44 was announced in May 1958 and advertised in July 1958.
The camera was available in a variety of colors, but the gray version was the most popular.
The Yashica 44 has a 60 mm f/3.5 Yashikor lens and a Copal SV shutter.
The camera has a crank film advance and automatic frame spacing.
The shutter is cocked manually with a lever on the shutter."

This camera is untested. Please read this description carefully. The camera comes with a carrying pouch with a strap, but the case has been torn slightly due to age, as seen in the photos. It has been kept in a climate controlled environment, and all dials appear to be working/moving as intended.
