The Famco Wdc Wind Directional Chimney Cap Is Designed To Be An Effective Solution To Chimney Downdraft In Windy Areas. The Cap Separates The Wind Stream As It Flows Over The Cap, While The Rotating Hood Is Kept In Proper Position (Relative To The Wind) By The Wind Vane. Air Movement Past The Hood Creates A Partial Vacuum In The Flue, Enhancing Draft Efficiency And Helping To Prevent Downdrafts. Quality Constructed From Heavy-Duty 26 Gauge Galvanized Steel, And Is Also Available In 304 Stainless Steel. This Product Does Not Include A Built-In Bird Screen. We Recommend Using Bostik High Temp Stainless Anti Seize On The Rotating Bracket And Cleaning Creosote Buildup To Ensure Cap Functions Correctly And Is Able To Rotate Without Issues, This Should Be Done Annually Or Else As Needed.
