This oval Whitby Jet brooch features the intricate carving of a bearded gentleman in a classical style, with leaves in his hair. This is a rare example of a Victorian Cameo brooch as it features a male face rather than a female figure. It is finished with a highly polished surround and has the original metal bar pin on the reverse. Dimensions: 58mm x 47mm.
