Rhodan MCB (Master Control Board - A00038) is the brain of the trolling motor. It is the upper compass, GPS receiver and the receiver for the FOB remote. The MCB is found inside the head housing at the top end of the shaft.
MCB come with an auto update preinstalled and are used (one shot deal) when hooked up to the HCB by way of Coiled Data Cable via quick connection. There are times where a software update dongle is required to update software to newest version.
The old style MCB was a more square but thin shaped board that had a cord coming from it. This style is no longer made and the V2.8-3.3 replaces it. As with most all Rhodan parts they retro fit back for older models in need of parts.
