A charming, historically-important, and well-produced book from 1975 that highlights the work of 59 denim artists. There's a wide range of techniques here: applique, embroidery and other needlepoint techniques, distressing, intergration of other fabrics, painting, studding. Whatever their intentions (hippie, fabric artists, fashion, folk), the work exhibited in this book is remarkable.
This rare vintage hardcover classic from 1975 features unique fold out pages and 145 full-color photographs highlighting the denim fashion of this period.
Book measures approximately 11.25" H x 9" W x 5/8" D and is in near fine condition (clean/tight) with the exception of the inside front cover where a newspaper article on denim from the Los Angeles Times (Sept 1, 1974) was stored (and is included with this book!) + some tanning on the dust jacket spine.
