Vinyl LP pressing. Original motion picture soundtrack to the 1981 film Nighthawks starring Sylvester Stallone and Billy Dee Williams. It was Keith Emerson's first major American film score. The soundtrack includes Keith's vocal of the Stevie Winwood classic "I'm A Man." In Night Hawks, conservative street cop Deke DaSilva reluctantly agrees to terminate an international terrorist who has demanded media attention. But DaSilva's "at-home" tactics are very much put to the challenge. Composer Keith Emerson is best known for his work with legendary prog rock trio Emerson Lake & Palmer. Along with British contemporaries Rick Wright of Pink Floyd, Tony Banks of Genesis, Billy Ritchie of Clouds, Rick Wakeman of Yes, and Jon Lord of Deep Purple, Emerson is widely regarded as one of the top keyboard players of the progressive rock era.
