A dirty or clogged filter reduces the efficiency of your dehumidifier and may cause overheating and shutdown. Maintain peak performance of your dehumidifier by following the recommended maintenance schedule. Every 6 months, or when the Clean Filter service reminder lights up on your AprilAire Dehumidifier, remove and wash or replace the filter. Filter can be washed with water and mild detergent. Simply rinse it clean, shake off the excess water, and re-insert it into the dehumidifier. No need to wait for it to dry. It has nominal dimensions of 8 inches x 11.5 inches x 1 inch. Made with aluminum mesh around a foam core inside an aluminum frame. Filter is reversible so it can be installed in the dehumidifier facing either direction as long as you line up the length and width correctly so that the filter slots into the retention rails properly.
