To install, simply measure the doorway and fasten the mounting cups to the wall with double sided adhesive tape (for top of stair use the mounting cups must be screwed into place). Next, tighten the tension knobs by turning them clockwise simultaneously - start with the lower ones then do the top ones for even pressure on both sides. Your gate should be aligned and fitted to the wall now! To open the gate door simply slide the button, pull it upwards and step through. The gate door has a built in “smart stay open” feature and opens both ways making moving through the gate easy for adults that may be carrying children, carrying in groceries or just wanting to have the gate stay open! As an added bonus our Ava gate is a great option to use as a dog gate as well!
