This item probably dates from the mid 1800s when Ferdinand Lasselle would have been a political figure. The lid is pewter. The inset on the top of the lid is porcelain with a picture for Lasselle. The stein is lead crystal. Very heavy and sturdy piece.
This piece was definitely well used as there are a lot of chips in the bottom of the stein as seen in the last picture. Measures about 5.5" tall to the top of the lid.
I can't find another example of this exact piece on the internet, but there are other steins featuring Lasselle that are fairly valuable.
