Select Increments Sono-Pod (Enclosure ONLY) for 1976-2006 CJ7, YJ and TJ Wranglers

This item is the Select Increments Sono-Pod and mounting hardware ONLY, designed for you to add your own audio components. Bring your music to life and fill in that low-end audio void! The Sono-Pod? is designed to house a single 10? subwoofer, provides a factory look and mounts in the cargo area of 1976-2006 CJ7, YJ and TJ Wranglers. The Sono-Pod is just under 11? tall and specifically designed to fit under security shelves and Insta-trunks as well as maintain some cargo space. The pod works as a sealed enclosure with an internal volume of .73 cubic feet. The pod can hold most 10? subwoofers, even those with huge magnets requiring mounting depths of up to 8?. The circular recess where the subwoofer installs is 11? diameter and the pre-cut hole for the sub is just over 9? diameter. Some subwoofers may require a slightly larger mounting hole, so you may need to make the hole larger with a rotary tool or hand-held deburring tool, etc. (take a look at the installation sheets for more information and images on this process). Sono-Pod design has the subwoofer firing downward, hovering a couple inches above the floor to maximize bass output and offer protection from the elements. The concealed wire-lead hole is located on the underside of the pod nearer to the wheel-well. The textured plastic walls of the Sono-Pod are .25? thick making it extremely sturdy and nullifying vibration. The pod is secured to the floor with special self-drilling screws and black screw caps complete the look. The pod legs are contoured on the underside to mimic the roll of the carpet over the metal rises in the cargo floor for a precise fit. The Sono-Pod can integrate into any factory or aftermarket audio system your Jeep currently has (take a look at the installation sheets for more information). Please note some early YJ models have a tailgate stop/stay mechanism down along the bottom of the tailgate that will need to be removed to install the Sono-Pod.
