They’re made with durable polyester, which is an extruded co-polymer fiber that yields an extremely high strength. Rope is lightweight to carry around on the job, and offers excellent resistance to acids and alkalis. It has a 5/8 inch diameter with a breaking strength of 6,000 lbs. All lifelines have a snap hook and back splice at the trailing end to prevent the rope grab from coming off the end of the lifeline. It’s specially designed to provide maximum safety and protection for roofers, boaters, marine workers, rescue workers, and more, meeting ANSI Z359 fall protection code standards.
