Pure Aqua has manufactured and supplied a commercial RO unit to EL SALVADOR INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, LA PAZ, using an advanced microprocessor control panel with pre-treatment. Osmosis reversal systems are powerful, capable of removing large amounts of salt, minerals, and other contaminants from water sources like wells, rivers, and lakes. They employ a popular technology called 'reverse osmosis'. Natural osmosis transports salt through a semi-permeable membrane from a low-concentration area to a high-concentration one, evening out solute concentration on both sides. Reverse osmosis counteracts this by using a high-pressure pump on the highly concentrated side of the membrane, pushing only water molecules through tiny pores while blocking salts, organics, and other contaminants. Purified water emerges on the permeate side, while salts and contaminants are flushed into a brine stream and drained.
