The Laboy Dimroth reflux condenser is a coil type intensive cooler designed for efficient condensation in organic chemistry reactions. Coolant circulates through the tightly wound inner coil, creating a large cold surface so rising vapors are condensed and returned to the flask. Compared with a simple Liebig condenser, the Dimroth design offers higher cooling capacity in similar height and is suited to volatile solvents, long reactions and setups where you want strong, stable reflux with minimal solvent loss. This series is available in several joint sizes and coil lengths so you can match the condenser to your existing glassware and flask volume. Short 100 mm coil models with 14/20 or 19/22 joints work with small flasks commonly used in teaching labs and microscale synthesis. Larger 24/40 versions provide more condensing surface for medium to larger flasks. All condensers have a standard taper outer joint at the top and a matching inner joint with drip tip at the bottom, so condensed solvent returns directly to the reaction mixture instead of running down the joint. You can choose models with fixed glass hose connections or versions with removable hose barbs. Fixed hose connections provide a durable coolant path. Removable hose connection designs let you orient or change the hose fittings, which makes it easier to route tubing or disconnect the condenser for cleaning. Hose connections are sized to accept common laboratory rubber or PVC tubing so the condenser fits into existing cooling circuits. Each Dimroth condenser is hand-blown from heavy-wall borosilicate 3.3 glass and finished with precision-ground standard taper joints.
