The cartridge has a closed coat of aluminum oxide abrasive secured with a heat-resistant resin bond. The cartridge roll fits onto a cartridge roll mandrel (sold separately) and is ideal for accessing small, hard to reach spaces. The 341D cartridge roll is used in metalworking applications.Aluminum oxide is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its fast cut-rate and long life. This mineral makes a tough, durable abrasive that self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges, whereas traditional natural abrasives dull more quickly.
