In experiment P1.8.7.1, the air resistance and lift of an airfoil are measured based on its angle of attack. These measurements are plotted in a polar diagram, allowing for the determination of the optimal angle of attack. Students also measure airfoils they've designed themselves, aiming to find the shape that minimizes the quotient of air resistance to lift at a given angle of attack.
