The 'Imagerie à Resonance Magnétique II' experiment series complements 'IRM I', assuming fundamental principles are well understood. The goal is to show how spin echo technique can produce 2D MR images of a precisely defined layer thickness, orientation, and size (2D localized spin echo). These parameters determine an RM image's 'field of view' (FOV). We also introduce a method for recording 3D MR images (3D spin echo) using 3D phase coding. Both methods include automatic system frequency calibration relative to the Larmor frequency, resulting in more stable RM images over multiple averaging steps.
