The aim of these experiments is to demonstrate the use of spin echo technique to generate 2D MRI images of a well-defined thickness, orientation, and size (2D localized spin echo). These parameters determine the 'field of view' (FOV) of the MRI image. We will introduce a method for 3D MRI image registration (Spin Echo 3D) by adding an additional phase encoding in the third dimension. Both methods include automatic system frequency calibration relative to the Larmor frequency, resulting in a more stable MRI image over multiple averaging steps.
