Polished finish blade with heat treatment of excellent quality, providing the knife with greater mechanical resistance and edge durability. Knife suitable for daily use and ample functionality - from the weekend barbecue and the daily kitchen tasks to the use in the great outdoors. Comes with a handmade leather sheath. Important information: Our products are handmade and thus are unique and exclusive items that might show minor imperfections. Proper care is essential to ensure the beauty of the product. Carbon steel will naturally oxidize with time and use - embedding the knife's history into its blade. Be sure to read "Cleaning and Care" below. USAGE TIPS: For the most effective use of your knife, the most delicate cuts must be made from the middle to the tip of the blade, where the cutting edge is sharp and long-lasting. Sharpness must be maintained with the use of a sharpening rod. For the rough and heavier cuts, the knife's heel must be used - the part of the blade next to the handle, where the blade is thicker and robust enough to support such activity CLEANING AND CARE: To keep your knife at its best, we advise that after using, the knife is sanitized and well dried, thereby minimizing aggressive oxidation and stains on the blade. Oxidation is a normal carbon steel process. A little olive oil can also be used after cleaning. The product is not dishwasher safe. SHARPENING: For the best of your knife's edge, we advise using a smooth honing rod (aka sharpening steel) to keep the edge's alignment and prolong the cutting power. When necessary, a sharpening stone with a very fine grain can also be used.
