Along with the Minoans and Mycenaeans, the Cycladic people are counted among the three major Aegean cultures. Cycladic art with its anthropocentric character - expressed through perfection and proportion in form, simplicity, and reduction to the very essential. It is an art that has strongly influenced early 20th century sculpture.
