18 Inch Brass Antique Finish Spyglass Telescope This is Solid brass 3 draw leather sheathed field telescope in antique finish. It was also called the 'Tourist' and is based on the old War Office Signalling model. With a large objective lens of 35mm visible diameter, giving a magnification of 20x it is ideal for stalking or spotting, and produces a sharp, clear image. Telescope also disassembles easily for access to the internal lenses, enabling them to be cleaned in the field. This telescope features brown leather sheathed hand stitched covering tapered barrel , including the protective end caps, which are attached to the shoulder carry strap. It is engraved " Kelvin and Hughes London 1917 " on the first draw and "Royal Navy 1917" It measures 8" closed, 18" open with sunshade extended, a quality telescope weighing just 650gms, and a pleasure to use.
