The Red Planet Series from Carson is a newtonian reflector telescope that comes included with a universal smartphone digiscoping adapter. You can now use the built-in camera application on your smartphone to take pictures and record video through the included telescope eyepieces. Then share the images and video through social media or email them to family and friends. The digiscoping adapter connector is retrofitted to fit over the included K9mm and K20mm eyepieces. The large 114mm diameter reflecting mirror captures plenty of light for crisp, bright images and startling detail. The Red Planet telescope features a high-quality, heavy duty aluminum tripod and a sturdy equatorial mount to counteract shaking and movements. It also features setting circles which allow you to dial in coordinates similar to “latitude and longitude” to find specific stars and constellations.
