This is a vintage ceramic dresser valet in the shape of a Dachshund, possibly made by AL Hirsch IG Ely.
Vintage 1950s ceramic dachshund ring valet by A.L. Hirsch & Co. and I.G. Ely & Co. (See last picture for close up of stamp on the bottom)
It features a whimsical dog design with an upturned tail, perfect for holding rings or bracelets - watches. A rare collectible that adds a touch of retro glam to any vanity or dresser. It is designed to hold small items such as wallet - slot on one side - keys, coins, watch and rings.
It was manufactured in the United States and is a collectible item for Dachshunds and vintage items. Measures approx. 7" wide x 9" tall. Hand painted and glazed - it is in excellent vintage condition.
