- We no longer recommend this leash snap for the Herm Sprenger 2.25 Prong Collar that has a D-Ring. The D-ring is too thin, and while it doesn’t open under pressure, it can unhook on rare occasions. Herm Sprenger makes a safety backup for this. We recommend our advanced secure safety clasp, now used on the Jim Hodges Stainless Steel Gummy K9 leash to fix this. Just search using that term.
