The variety of widths available create some liberty for the installer to deal with the various gap sizes presented when replacement windows are installed over existing frames. In many cases the gap at the top is much larger than the gap at the bottom of sides. Installers can easily center new windows side to side. Centering up and down can be more difficult, especially where sills have been built up. Flat trims are pre-taped for permanent attachment. This vinyl contains 10% Titanium Dioxide which is an active UV inhibitor. This is the same ingredient and amount used by vinyl window and door manufacturers.
