Founded in 1922 by General of the Armies John J. Pershing, The United States Army Band “Pershing’s Own” is the premiermusical organization of The U.S. Army. In this role for the last century of American history, the men and women of Pershing’sOwn have been present and contributed the soundtrack to many momentous world events. Over these same years, itsmusicians have provided musical support and rendered honors for thousands of Soldiers in intimate ceremonies in ArlingtonNational Cemetery.
