This stunning vintage hand-stitched Wheel of Fortune quilt top measures 58" x 78" and would be suitable to finish as a twin sized quilt. There are a total of 12 blocks, each about 19" square. Bright red and yellow fabric pieces on a natural muslin background. It is completely hand stitched, a labor of love.
The block pattern is also referred to as Rising Sun or Wheel of Luck. I purchased this at an estate sale in southern Minnesota but I do not know the age. An educated quess would be sometime between the 1930s and the 1950s but I cannot guarantee this I believe it to be 100% cotton, but again, I make no guarantees.
Top is in good vintage conditions with only a few loose stitches along some of the outer edges. There are 2 areas with rust stains as shown in photos. I did not attempt to launder this piece, as I prefer for the buyer to determine how best to treat.
