A stunning early Japan-made Francie #1130 Bend-Leg (BL) with static waist, produced 1966–67 during Mattel’s Mod revolution. Known as Barbie’s “modern cousin,” this first-edition Francie embodies the youthful, fashion-forward style that defined the late 1960s.
She features smooth blonde hair with soft curls, vivid brown eyes, dark-pink lips, and full rooted lashes. Body is clean and firm—one leg bends and holds; the other is soft with light wear. Marked ©1965 Mattel on head and ©1966 Mattel
