Sputnik Pin Coro 1950s Vintage Brooch Mid Century Rhinestone Signed Corocraft
It's outta this world baby. Truly awesome and very hard to find piece by Coro - signed Corocraft Pat. Pend on the backside. I don't even know where to begin. Looking at it from the side is it a perfect 1/2 moon or globe. Upon close inspection it is pink - clear and amethyst or garnet rhinestones - prong set but they "juggle" when moved. This is a hard to find piece - I did find one on "Dibbs" for $595 and it's not even signed!!
The base measures 1.25 inches across. It has a more brushed gold plate. There are no missing or dead stones. The head pins are a high polished gold plate. The clasp is mint and secure - a regular roll over bar clasp. I'm not sure you can find them any more pristine than this. Hard to let go of this one - reminds me of my childhood and all those outer space movies with those aliens! Beam me up Scotty.
