The English translations of the major Mandæan manuscripts have been impossible to find. Therefore, it has been my long-term project to make this happen. If you have tried to find these publications, you know that it requires thousands of dollars to acquire them individually if available at all. How unfair. Yet I know I will face unfair criticism as someone will complain that my versions are too close to another published version. This may be a fact. Someone else will complain that my version of such and such does not dig into the depth of the Aramaic onion. This too may be true. I have not attempted to make sweeping, amplified paraphrases. I have tried to convey the general text in an understandable translation/ interpretation. That was one of my goals: Put forth a readable, comprehensible translation. It is not intended for the scholar.
