Vtg NOMA Wind Up Musical Door Light Carolers Glolite Rare Christmas Display

This delightful late 40’s/early 50s Glolite musical, illuminated, Christmas Caroleers decoration is all original, complete, & working.

Manufactured by the Glolite division of Noma Electric, Chicago, IL. The 1949 Glolite catalog describes this piece as: “Colorful, tuneful -- full of tradition, this typical Christmasy scene is a natural sales-getter. Now more sturdily constructed for durability. Three little carolers spreading holiday cheer beneath the warm glow of a non-breakable plastic street lamp, while Swiss music chimes tinkle melodiously. Hand-painted Carolee’s realistically molded in fine, durable composition."

A piece like this with a working, original light is hard to find. The piece shows some wear consistent with its age and use (please view photos). It has been lightly cleaned but will benefit from a thorough cleaning when it lands in its new home. Dimensions: 8.5” wide and high, 6.5” deep. Note: music plays and does get somewhat raspy toward end
